WESC-2026 The 6ᵗʰ World Energy Storage Conference 9-12 August 2026
Dear All,
It is our great pleasure to make an open invitation to The 6th World Energy Storage Conference (WESC-2026). WESC-2026 will be held between 9-12 August 2026 in İstanbul Atlas University, Istanbul, Türkiye.
The 6th World Energy Storage Conference (WESC-2026) is an international scientific platform dedicated to advancing fundamental and applied research in energy storage technologies, energy systems engineering, thermodynamics, materials science, and data-driven optimization for sustainable energy solutions. The conference convenes scientists, engineers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to address fundamental and applied challenges in the development, optimization, and deployment of energy storage systems within modern energy infrastructures.
Energy storage is central to renewable integration, grid flexibility, and decarbonization. From a scientific perspective, storage technologies are governed by thermodynamic principles that determine efficiency limits, reversibility, stability, and performance constraints. Accordingly, the conference emphasizes thermodynamic modeling, exergy analysis, entropy generation, electrochemical thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer mechanisms in both physical and chemical storage systems.
The technical scope includes physical storage Technologies such as pumped hydro, compressed air, liquid air, flywheels, and thermal storage and chemical storage systems, including advanced batteries, hydrogen storage, fuel cells, and power-to-X processes. System-level analyses will address dynamic behavior, degradation mechanisms, safety considerations, and lifecycle thermodynamic assessment.
In addition, the conference integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches for performance prediction, materials discovery, degradation diagnostics, digital twins, real-time optimization, smart grid integration, and data-driven control of hybrid and distributed energy storage systems.
By combining thermodynamic theory, advanced computational methods, and policy considerations, WESC aims to support the development of efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy storage solutions that underpin the global energy transition.
Following the conference, all selected papers will be published in the Int. Journal of Hydrogen Energy (SCI-E) (IF: 8.3),Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments (SCI-E) (IF:7.0),Applied Thermal Engineering (SCI-E) (IF:6.9), Thermal Science and Engineering Progress (SCI-E) (IF:5.3),Energy storage (E-SCI) (IF:4.0), International Journal of Exergy (SCI-E) (IF: 1.1), International Journal of Global Warning (IF: 1) in their extended versions.
We cordially invite you to share your latest research findings on energy storage technologies at WESC-2026 conference.
We look forward to welcoming you to Istanbul, Türkiye.
